Time for A Marketing Tune-up

If you've been in business a certain period of time, I can assure you that the habits, not conscious thought, guide your marketing efforts. Many business people are great optimists, or probably would not get in the game to begin. They will do everything I've ever done in the hope that one day will produce results. STOP! It 's time to get the back of the brain in the game!

If you're like most people, whenever you come across a new marketing idea to add it to your existing approach. You never thought to extirpate the approaches that have not yet borne no fruit. You just keep adding more. Time for that to change!

Marketing strategies and actions tend to accumulate. They hang around and continue to deviate from your day (even when not working as you want). We enter into habits of action. We rarely take time in our busy schedule to really gauge how we are spending our time.

To improve your marketing, you need to clean some old ways of working.

Starting to make this a habit. Every week, at a minimum, schedule time in your day for a tune-up marketing. Ask yourself the following questions during this tune-up:

1) What is working in my marketing efforts under way?

2) What does not work at all?

3) What does not work well as it should and how can I improve?

What works?

These have been shown to be difficult to find. They are all marketing efforts that are taking which are successfully getting your name in print, traffic to your website or blog, making the phone ring, and the sale of the product.

What will we do about these? Keep doing them! In reality, there is a way to expand a successful marketing tactic today? Expand the places where they do traditional advertising? Write more articles? Advertising in multiple ezines related to women?
Try to expand marketing efforts that are working.

What does not work at all?

Pretty obvious what to do with these, right? Get out of them. Do not live the false hope that one day these tactics will surprise you. Do not have time for this luxury. Focus on what works today and what can be improved.

What is not working as it should and the like can be improved?

Many of your marketing tactics are paying off, just not to the level you want. It 's time to evaluate them and determine ways to improve them. Maybe a lot of traffic coming to your website, but the conversion to sales is small. Then you need to redesign the website. What would make your site more attractive to potential customers? I do not know? Ask them! Add a form to the poll on your site. Ask your customer what they would find on your site. Be as ruthless as possible in evaluating your site. Ask others to give candid advice on your site and listen to them!

In this same way, we will try every marketing tactic that is yielding results, but could do better. As you do this, you will be on track to improve the results of your marketing efforts and freeing time for actions that you are bankrupt now.

The hardest part of tuning your marketing efforts is to start. The time is now! Ready? ......
